Dashboard errors 07 and 08

My brother keeps getting persistent 07 and 08 oil sensor errors on his MG. We’ve already replaced the oil pressure switch several times at 20k km using Bosch, Tridon and OEM parts but the warnings keep popping up. The oil pressure seems fine, so the dashboard cant really be trusted. It makes us wonder why these sensors are even used if they’re so prone to false alerts. We suspect the switch itself rarely fails its probably just dirt or corrosion preventing proper contact.
Has anyone else found a reliable fix or workaround for this?

@Yachty00 Sounds like you might be dealing with a wiring or ground issue rather than the switches themselves. Cleaning connectors and checking for corrosion or loose grounds often clears these false alerts.

Got it, thanks! Should i be looking at the main battery ground first, or are there specific dashboard or sensor grounds that are more likely causing these errors?
