Replacing side cases on a Moto Guzzi California any tips

A few weeks back, I inherited my late uncle's 2014 Moto Guzzi California Touring, and let me tell you, it's a stunning bike that rides like an absolute dream! However, there's this unfortunate dent on the right side case from a nasty spill years ago, and ever since, it's been held together with duct tape, talk about a rough patch! I'm really hoping to replace that case with something that looks just as good as the rest of the bike, but finding a matching color is turning out to be a real challenge

So, I'm reaching out to you guys, has anyone had any luck tracking down a case in a different color and then getting it painted to match the original? Or maybe you've had success with getting a perfect color match at a local shop? I'd love to hear your stories and tips on what actually worked for you

Are you ok with a used one? You can get it in any color and then get it resprayed by a local shop. Bring your tank for a color match. It's gonna look so seamless, I swear. But make sure you go to a reputable one.

Have you looked into having a body shop custom-match the paint using a spectrophotometer, or maybe tried sourcing a used case from Europe where Moto Guzzi parts might be more common?
