RSV Ohlins fit on V11 Sport?

Buddy of mine just picked up a Moto Guzzi V11 and is eyeing some Ohlins upgrades. He's got a piggyback shock off an Aprilia RSV, also Ohlins front forks with axial mounts. Anyone know if the rear shock fits? And for the fork... will the V11 yokes (53mm lower, 51mm upper) handle it without mods? Appreciate any insight. TIA.

Ohlins are just sooo good. Well, the rear shock might fit but probs needs some tweaking—Guzzi's picky like that. As for the forks, V11 yokes might need slight mods to play nice, better double-check before droppin' cash!

Dude, a V11 with Ohlins? Gnarly! But for that Aprilia RSV rear shock, honestly, that's probably a no go.
Those RSV shocks are usually way longer than what the V11 needs, like, by a ton.
So yeah, it's almost definitely not gonna just bolt on. He'd be better off finding an Ohlins shock that's actually made for the V11, even if it costs a bit more

Just to add to what @Four Eaton and @OldSchoolGarage said, the RSV piggyback shock, it's highly unlikely to be a direct fit on the V11 without some custom fabrication. Shaft length, eye-to-eye, and reservoir clearance are usually very specific. As for the Ohlins forks, 53/51mm yokes are pretty common, but the main concern will be the axle and brake caliper mounts. You'll likely need custom spacers for the wheel, and axial-to-radial caliper adapters or new calipers designed for axial mounts to work with the V11's brakes. It's not impossible, but not a plug-and-play scenario.
