california 1100 piston upgrade to 9.5:1?

I enjoy riding both on open and technical roads, gives me a different kind of thrill! I'm thinking about putting higher compression pistons in my California 1100. Stock is 8.5:1 and upgrade will be 9.5:1. Will that give my bike better performance? Anyone tried this before?

Bumping the compression to 9.5:1 should wake it up a bit. It's gonna give you a quicker throttle response and maybe a little more grunt down low. Just make sure your fuel and timing are dialed.

You'll need to adjust timing anyway and maybe fueling to match, it's not a massive jump, so you should be fine on pump gas @coastcruiser
